TED Talks- Jonathan Harris

This TED Talks from 2007 by Jonathan Harris goes into detail on his two innovative search engines. His first one called "We Feel Fine" is a "feeling"-engine that searches through the internet (similar to google) and finds blogs where people have publicly posted their feelings. However, these phrases are anonymous and are compiled into this internet source with sentences made by people with the starting phrase "I feel..." or in present progressive "I am feeling..." These entires by people are unaware that they are being used for this reason, which Harris feels makes the process that much more interesting. Harris like that random people can look into the lives of others and hear a section of their story and be able to relate.

Harris' second engine is almost like a visual web of google seen though constellations. This internet source is called "Universe." where you can type in a word, which then places it in the center of the universe, having all other related topics fall into it's orbit. This uniquely diagramed concept map can show pictures, related links, and even topics in alphabetical order or in order of relevance to the main theme.
